ORWIGSBURG — The Orwigsburg Beer Store recently celebrated a good first year in business.
Owned by Lynda Williams, Brockton, with Carol Ansbach as store manager, it opened Feb. 24, 2015.
“We felt that they needed a distributor here. We thought it would do well here,” Williams said Thursday of the location at 298 Lincoln Ave.
The building is owned by Fanelli Realty LLC, according to the online Schuylkill County Parcel Locator.
Williams said the borough, its residents and others from outside the borough have been welcoming and enjoy shopping in the store.
Ansbach enjoys her job.
“You are selling beer. It’s fun,” she said.
The store sells craft beers, IPAs and wine coolers. Yuengling, Miller Light and Shock Top are some of the domestic beers they sell. Craft beers include Tröegs. The 12 packs are also popular, Ansbach said.
“We sell it all,” she said.
If a customer requests a certain brand, she will do her best to get it for them. Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday to Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
