Crime Stoppers, March 6, 2015

Schuylkill County Crime Stoppers and Pottsville police are asking for the public’s help in finding those responsible for a criminal mischief incident that caused thousands of dollars of damage.

Police said the incident occurred between 2 a.m. and 5:40 a.m. Feb. 29 at the Schuylkill Medical Mall parking lot, 700 Schuylkill Manor Road.

Someone damaged the two vehicles, both owned by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. Damage to the vehicles, a Hyundai Santa Fe and a Ford Escape, included broken windshields, broken side and rear windows, broken lights and door handles, smashed dashboards, caved-in roofs and major damage to the engines, police said.

Schuylkill County Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information on the identity of those responsible for this crime or on any unsolved crime in Schuylkill County.

Callers are asked to refer to incident 03-06-16 when calling with information about the criminal mischief incident in Pottsville.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 877-TIPS4SC (877-847-7472). Callers can also relay their information directly to Pottsville police at 570-622-1234, ext. 332.
