The state Department of Transportation is warning motorists about several highway projects that may disrupt traffic this week in Schuylkill County.
In East Union Township, crews will patch potholes on Game Club Road between Ringtown and Nuremberg. The work will be done from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday, rain or shine. There will be lane restrictions with flagging.
On Wednesday and Thursday, inspectors will check bridges on Interstate 81 between exit 100, Pine Grove, and the Lebanon County Line. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., there will be lane restrictions Wednesday in the northbound lane, and the southbound lane Thursday.
In Butler Township, Monday through Friday, crews will seal cracks on I-81 between exits 116, PA 901, and 119, Highridge Park. The work will be done 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and there will be lane restrictions. At the same time, crews will seal cracks on the interstate between exits 119 and 124, Route 61.
Other crews will do shoulder work at the same time on state Route 125, between Hegins and Joliett, and on Route 61 between Saint Clair and Pottsville.
State Route 209 in Pottsville will be treated to a round of crack sealing during the week, between 12th and Centre streets.
Rain could cause delays in the road work.
