n Shenandoah: Defender Hose Company No. 3 in the borough’s Turkey Run section will stage its annual all-you-can-eat crab fest from 2 to 6 p.m. July 23 at the firehouse, 300 Furnace St. The cost is $40 for adults, $12 for children 12 and younger and $25 for take-outs. n Shenandoah: To celebrate the community’s sesquicentennial this year, the borough wants to recognize the people who have lived longest in their hometown. The theme/logo for the borough’s 150th birthday celebration is “Shenandoah Strong --- 150 Years Long,” which was selected last September by the Shenandoah Sesquicentennial Committee and created by borough native and resident William Savitsky. The celebration will be held Aug. 20-27 with themes set for each day, culminating with the annual Shenandoah Heritage Day and Parade of Nations. There will also be a fireworks display courtesy of Ateeco Inc., Shenandoah, maker of Mrs. T’s Pierogies. n Tamaqua: The Tamaqua Salvation Army, 105 W. Broad St., has a variety of programs and activities on its schedule.
