MINERSVILLE — Minersville police have obtained a felony arrest warrant for a borough man in connection with an incident on Thursday.

Patrolman Jeffrey Bowers said the warrant charges Michael A. Pranscavage with one felony count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, two misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and one misdemeanor count each of possession of drug paraphernalia, prohibited offensive weapons, theft and receiving stolen property.

Bowers said the charges against Pranscavage, 40, whose last known address was 527 Pine Hill St., stem from a search warrant he obtained and served at a garage on the north side of the Minersville-Llewellyn Highway about 2 p.m.

When serving the warrant on the garage bay marked “O,” verified as Pranscavage’s garage, Bowers said officers found about a half ounce of a crystal substance that tested positive for methamphetamine and packaged for individual sale and a large amount of new glassine resealable baggies and wax paper baggies commonly used to package controlled substances.

In addition, Bowers said police found $1,500 in cash, four cellphones, four digital scales, a Mossberg 12-gauge shotgun with the barrel sawed off, three rifles and a handgun with ammunition.

The officer also said police confiscated a DeWalt tool container with a small amount of marijuana inside, along with a Minersville police firearms range warning sign that had been stolen along with ledger sheets detailing drug transactions.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Pranscavage is asked to call Minersville police through the Schuylkill County Communications Center.

All information received will remain confidential.
