No injuries in
2-vehicle crash
FRIEDENSBURG — No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday in Wayne Township, according to state police in Schuylkill Haven.
Police said Sherri S. Seiverling, 39, of Pine Grove, was driving a 2014 Toyota Camry north on Route 183 at 1 p.m., following directly behind a 2011 Subaru Outback driven by Marcia A. Gleason, 67, of Pottsville. Seiverling became distracted, and her vehicle rear ended Gleason’s vehicle in the northbound lane, police said. Both vehicles came to rest facing north along the northbound shoulder.
Police charged Seiverling with violating driving at a safe speed.
Two passengers in Gleason’s Outback, Jean M. Murphy, 65, of Pottsville, and Robert E. Gleason, 70, of Pottsville, were not hurt.
Auburn man faces
charge for trash
ORWIGSBURG — An Auburn man was charged with scattering rubbish, according to state police in Schuylkill Haven.
Police said Merlin B. Dronick Jr., 40, dumped two piles of shingles and assorted waste sometime between April 15 and 16 on a private property at 152 Tunnel Road, West Brunswick Township.
Dronick left behind the registration plate from the trailer he was using, police said. The registration plate was found in the pile of waste.
